| Christoph Haberer drums, percussion, electronics
Michael Heupel flutes (concert, alto, bass and subcontrabass flute) Carlo Rizzo polytimbral and polytonal tambourine, vocals, reed clarinet Rhythmic firework and fascinating sounds, gripping improvisations and electronic precision work: this trio brings together musicians who are eager to experiment and develop a completely new percussive and jazz-oriented musical language. The trio "haberer/heupel/rizzo" gave concerts in April/May 2001 on their first and very successful tour. The events included the "Europhonics festival in Dortmund, "Jazzin´ Herrenberg" and the "Internationale Musiktage Kloster Schlehdorf (the International Music Days at Schlehdorf Monastery). In workshops at the Musikhochschule (College of Music) in Mannheim und the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen, the musicians gave a practical demonstration of their instruments and offered an insight into their way of playing and composing. The trio continued working, e.g. playing with great success the 18th International Festival in Krefeld, September 2002, or the 10th Jazzfestival in Izmir/Turkey, April 2003.
